National Library of Latvia joins the network
The National Library of Latvia has joined the DigCurV network and will distribute news of the project to the library network of Latvia.
The National Digital Library of Latvia was created with the aim of digitising the collections of the Library and of other cultural institutions in Latvia. It serves three important functions:
- Digitsation of analogue collections
- Preservation and storage
- Access
As well as providing the platform for national and international cooperation, the adoption of standards and best practices and support for training. The library has its own training centre which serves both internal needs and those of the library network of Latvia.
