Crossing Boundaries for AV Preservation

Screening the future is an annual showcase delivered by PrestoCentre and focusing on the latest technological trends in audiovisual preservation. 

The DigCurV project is delighted to announce “Framing the digital curation curriculum”, a conference to be held from 6th to 7th of May 2013 in Florence.

The objective of the conference is to promote discussion and consensus building amongst stakeholders about the main criteria and requirements necessary to develop training courses for professionals in digital curation in the cultural heritage sector. Results from projects and initiatives actively involved in education, training and professional development in the field of digital curation and digital preservation will be presented and discussed. There will also be an opportunity to examine the Curriculum Framework, how it can be applied, to evaluate how existing training fits in the CF, and to assess gaps experienced in training courses design.

International Digital Curation Conference 2013 (IDCC13)

IDCC brings together those who create and manage data and information, those who use it and those who research and teach about curation processes. Our view of ‘data’ is a broad one – video games and virtual worlds are of just as much interest as data from laboratory instruments or field observation. DigCurV is funded by the European Commission’s Leonardo da Vinci programme to establish a curriculum framework for vocational training in digital curation.
