"Innovation and Quality: How do they fit together? "
Organised by the European consortium for the Quality Certification in VET (Q-Cert-VET) the conference will address Learning Innovations and Quality and in particular Lifelong Learning (LLL), Technology-Enhanced Learning (TEL), quality standards and certification, human resources development, competences and skills, as well as learning, innovation and quality management systems.
“The European Conference LINQ 2012 explores the relation between learning innovations and learning quality for the first time: Often seen as contradictions, we will focus their common grounds and synergies, ” says Christian M. Stracke, the scientific coordinator of the Q-Cert-VET project from the University of Duisburg-Essen in Germany, ISO Convener and editor of many learning standards. The conference will facilitate the exchange of ideas between individuals and organizations involved in quality certification and VET in many diverse ways, bringing them together for a productive meeting.
“The experience gathered by the Q-Cert-VET consortium in harmonizing requirements from quality and innovation management systems standards and adapting them to the educational context at the new Portuguese certification standard (currently under public inquiry), prNP 4512:2012 - Training Management Systems, including Technology Enhanced Learning - Requirements, will serve as a valuable input to launch the debate in this conference ” explains Sandra Feliciano, the co-coordinator of the Q-Cert-VET project.
